A common misconception about the Scout movement is that it is a wealthy establishment. This is far from the truth. All of the money that our group needs to run smoothly and provide excellent activities to our young members must be raised by ourselves. Each year we ask for a subscription.

This money does not all go to the group; we pay some of the money out to Scout HQ, Allerton District and Insurance. What ever is left goes to the Group. Throughout the year the Group must undertake a number of fund raising events to generate enough money to keep our building maintained and purchase any equipment that is needed.

We undertake numerous jumble sales and fairs to help find the much needed income we require. From time to time we need to undertake extra special events to generate more money for a specific project.

Currently we are fund raising for a number of urgent repairs to our building. Please take a moment to have a look at our current Major Projects that require fund raising above and beyond our usual requirements.
